28 large cartons of JUNK for $A500 - *PLEASE* take it away!

Just bought this a half hour back and do NOT want it filling up my garage over Easter.

Someone can come and collect it and do what they want with it.

Near all Aust. Lots of kiloware, THOUSANDS of neat bundles of 100 it looks like, but I am not going to count them as they fill numerous ice cream containers. Heaps of covers with unpaid and Priority etc markings on them. Many 1000s of off paper.

Way under $20 a box and YOU collect, or get someone to collect, as impossible to pack these up for anyone. You can hardly buy a pizza for what each box of this wil lcost you.

A large hand made wooden box with large collection of PSE's in there M or CTO from first issue.

In general it is mostly about 25 years old. Some earlier and some later of course.

I'll go and take a few pix now. Some toning as always on this era stuff, but some lovely material among it all. Totally untouched by me.

Call it '28 cartons on stampboards' and please order via:

www.glenstephens.com/order - and lay-by is possible

and all payment details are on:

www.glenstephens.com/payment

And many similar mouth watering NETT price offers are being loaded weekly onto -

www.glenstephens.com/rarity and www.glenstephens.com/specials

As per stampboard rules - this lot is offered exclusively to board members - and on no other sales venue.

At AUS$20 a box, it sounds like a steal.
Waiting to see pictures of them although I can't purchase them.

Cheers

Probably more than 25 cartons .. more like 27 or 28 it seems. Camera battery is charging up now, so no pix.

The guy was a senior staffer at News Limited in this era and had access to all their Sydney mail he says, even competitions and account payment.

So there are probably well over 100,000 stamps here at a VERY rough guess.

A lot of the complete covers with Priority and Reg'd and instructional markings are $5-$10 retail items each these days as simply no-one bothered to keep them, except guys like this. NOW due to Rod Perry etc demand is increasing strongly on this over-looked area.

The many large ice-cream tubs stuffed full of used bundles of 100 - nearly all are commemoratives it looks like, might get really interesting prices and out of kilter if offered on ebay or somewhere in dribs and drabs?

These often have ASC values of 50c EACH! Therefore each bundle is cat $50, and there are MANY 100s of bundles here, possibly 1000+ of them. Just impossible to count without taking an hour.

The bundles alone might sell for a few $100 with good marketing.

I repeat - buyer pays me, and gets someone local to collect them. It will totally fill a car and boot is my guess. What you do with it all after that is up to you! I just want my garage back.

I am sooo tempted by this. But I'm going camping for Easter and would be concerned about them getting wet.

Glen,

At that price, I would probably take a drive down there to look
if I were in Sydney but unfortunately it's way over the ocean. ]
Hope it finds a nice home.

Naturally all the many large ice cream tins are not large cartons for the purposes of this count .. they are not counted in the 27 or 28 cartons and boxes you see from different sides below.

Front view of the mountain.

Image

Very many 100s of these uprated 18c and 20 era QE2 PSE's .. even singly you never seen these.

Image

Many 100s if not 10000s of bundles of 100 - mostly COMMEMS.

Image

About a half dozen large stockbooks, with all sorts of junk in it like this.

Image

Many HUNDREDS of covers with TAX and UNDERPAID and POSTAGE DUE and all kinds of similar markings like that on them.

Image

Also very many 100s of covers I'd guess with PRIORITY PAID and Certified markings, labels and frankings. These are SELDOM seen even singly from this era.

Image

The same with Registered and Certifed and suchlike .. quite a few of these seen:

JUNK and more flotsam

This is a decent size carton CRAMMED with MANY 1,000s of neat cut-outs from meter mail. The guy did it all with zig zag "pinking" shears as they looked nice that way. Stick this on ebay and you may get $100-$200 or more if described well. HUGE quantity of something not often saved in this era.

The view of the mountain from the other side of the garage.

Pre Stamped Envelopes - CTO on FDI. A large hand made wooden box, with 2 x neat sliding lids, with VERY many 100s in here. The early ones spread out here would have cost you $500 alone when this lot was assembled, as prices went crazy then.

Glen,

I'm overwhelmed...phew...look at all that delicious stuff.
It would be great fun just ploughing through all that stuff.
What exactly are the complete covers with Priority
and Reg'd and instructional markings
?
Can you put up a scan or two of these for members
who may also be interested in these? Thanks.

Cheers
Andrew

looks like a great deal - Id grab it, especially for the covers (plus Im sure theres a few other bits and pieces there) but it would be a long walk from my place yo yours and an even longer walk home carrying all that!

if anyone knows of an empty van coming from Sydney to Nth Vic let me know!
